Norwegian Mapping Authorities new public WMS – an introduction of use

Today the new public WMS-services from the Norwegian Mapping Authority (NMA) were released. This means easy access to high-quality maps over Norway. However, some may not know how to use a WMS, and falls back on to the ease of using Google Maps or similar. Fear no more. I have written a short introduction to use of OpenLayers which focus both on the general use of OpenLayers and also specific for NMA’s WMS’s. The tutorial is structured as an exercise combining both the use of the non-programming map viewer service and also the more comprehensive Javascript library of OpenLayers.
